America - People and Places , formerly known as America - The Freedom to Be and USA & Canada - The freedom to be ... , is an English language course in the form of a 13-part television series and presents the history of several states in the USA and Provinces of Canada . The current situation in politics, education, sport and leisure is illustrated in interviews with various people. The language course is held entirely in English.
It is taken in the 4th trimester of the Telekolleg for advanced adult English learners and is the continuation of Fast Track English .
The language course is also shown in the school television series Planet Schule .
