Fast Track English
Fast Track English is an English language course in the form of a 39-part television series in 3 seasons of 13 episodes each, which was produced in 1997 by Pilgrim Productions for WDR. It is part of the Telekolleg , an adult course to obtain the technical college entrance qualification . A season of 13 episodes each is dealt with from the 1st to the 3rd trimester. The first two seasons are called Fast Track English , the third season Fast Track English - "The Business World" . The program is broadcast by ARD-alpha .
Fast Track English
In the first two seasons, humorous elements are interspersed by the electricity reader Meterman (Tim Baker), who tries out various activities.

Fast Track English - "The Business World"
This part of the course covers business life and teaches business English. The first episode of the language course was first broadcast on August 25, 1998. The character "Meterman" develops into an unsuccessful economic planner "Troubleshooter"; the actor is called Tim Bartholomew in these episodes . He also takes on minor supporting roles in his spots, e. B. Troubleshooter's mother and his professor.

In the 4th trimester of the Telekolleg, the language course America - The Freedom to Be , also known as USA & Canada - The freedom to be ... , takes place, where an American state or a Canadian province is the focus in each episode . Interviews with the people living there should present the respective language peculiarities and regional lects and show the everyday life of people in different professions and life situations. An alternative title of this 4th part is America - People and Places .
