American Life League

The American Life League (ALL) is a Christian-conservative anti-abortion organization in the USA . It is in opposition to birth control , stem cell research and euthanasia . Although it describes itself as a Catholic organization, it is not an official organization of the Catholic Church . Judie Brown is president and co-founder of the 1979 organization. The organization's headquarters are in Stafford , Virginia .

The organization belongs to the "no exception" camp of the anti-family planning movement. According to this, abortions should not be allowed in the event of danger to the life of the pregnant woman, rape or incest . The same is true of all forms of birth control. She is close to the evangelical right in many positions .

Because of its extreme positions and propaganda methods, the organization has been criticized by other Catholic organizations and even by other anti-abortion organizations. For example, Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good criticized the use of the slogan "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy" (the longtime senator, practicing Catholic and vehement supporter of health reform) on the occasion of the opposition of the ALL-supported demonstrations of right-wing organizations against health reform in the USA Edward Kennedy had died shortly before the treatment of health care reform in the US Congress) and spreading disinformation as an embarrassment for the Catholic community.

Associated organizations or sub-organizations of the ALL are, in addition to a network of local anti-family planning organizations, Rock for Life , STOPP , Crusade for the Defense of Our Catholic Church and the American Bioethics Advisory Commission .
