American Renaissance (magazine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

American Renaissance is a US right-wing journal from Oakton ( Virginia ), the positions of the white separatism represents. It was founded in 1990 by journalist Jared Taylor and is published by the New Century Foundation. An online community of like-minded activists and supporters formed around the magazine.

The ideological foreground is the claim that many of the social problems that are manifesting themselves in the United States today can be traced back to the diversity of races and cultures. As an alternative, drastic restrictions on immigration and voluntary racial segregation are being promoted. The journal also looks at genetic racial differences in terms of intelligence and other abilities. A conference is held annually on these and related topics.

A report launched by Fox News on January 9, 2011, which linked the shooter of the so-called Tucson attack with American Renaissance and invoked the United States Department of Homeland Security, was denied by the latter. The Fox News report referred to American Renaissance as " anti-Semitic , anti-government, and anti- ZOG ." These accusations were firmly denied by American Renaissance, with reference to Jewish members and authors. It later emerged that the report came from the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center, and according to the operator, it contained several errors and inaccuracies.
