American Tears

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

American Tears were a keyboard- dominated hard rock band from New York .

Unusually , founder Mark Mangold put two bassists next to him, Garry Sonny and Greg Baze , and hired Tommy Gunn on drums. The moderate success of the unusual sound led after two albums to orientate themselves on more familiar paths (Mangold now played with Evan Brooks , guitar, Kirk Powers , bass and Glenn Kithcart , drums); but also only with moderate success, so that the band broke up after the third album.
