America (booklet series)
America (spelling :! America! Subtitle: The unbelievable adventures of the German emigrant Jacob Adler in the New World ) was a booklet series with a continuous plot that was published in 1995 and 1996 by Bastei-Verlag . Since June 2018, the series has been published by Bastei every two weeks. New subtitle is adventure in the new world . The publisher does not indicate a new edition. As with the first edition, the cover picture of the first issue of the novel comes from Sebastia Boada. The design of the title differs only slightly from the first edition.
The novels told the story and the adventures of Jacob Adler, who fled impoverished Germany in the 1860s after being charged with attempted murder and went to America, which was told by the author Jörg Kastner with many “ Western motifs and adventure moments”. After 22 issues the series was discontinued; later efforts by the author (who also wrote for Jerry Cotton ) to continue the story were unsuccessful.
