Amino aciduria is the excretion of amino acids in the urine . Small amounts of amino acids can also occur in healthy people.
One pathology is the increased excretion of amino acids in the urine and is called hyperaminoaciduria , although both terms are often used synonymously. It is considered increased when more than 5% of the glomerularly filtered amino acids are not reabsorbed but are excreted.
Classification
Prerenal forms
- in hyperaminoacidemia (increased amount of protein in the blood)
- without inhibiting specific transport systems, e.g. B. in phenylketonuria
- with inhibition of group-specific transport systems, e.g. B. by imino acids or dibasic amino acids
- with reduced tubular reabsorption z. B. in beta-amino-isobutyric acid, homocystinuria
Renal forms
- Disturbance of the individual specific transport systems, e.g. B. in hypercystinuria , hyperglycinuria
- Disruption of the group-specific transport systems, e.g. B. in cystinuria , dibasic hyperaminoaciduria, Hartnup disease , iminoglycinuria
Generalized forms
- primarily for inherited disorders
- secondary to acquired disorders
