Amino aciduria is the excretion of amino acids in the urine . Small amounts of amino acids can also occur in healthy people.

One pathology is the increased excretion of amino acids in the urine and is called hyperaminoaciduria , although both terms are often used synonymously. It is considered increased when more than 5% of the glomerularly filtered amino acids are not reabsorbed but are excreted.

Classification

Prerenal forms

  • in hyperaminoacidemia (increased amount of protein in the blood)
    • without inhibiting specific transport systems, e.g. B. in phenylketonuria
    • with inhibition of group-specific transport systems, e.g. B. by imino acids or dibasic amino acids
  • with reduced tubular reabsorption z. B. in beta-amino-isobutyric acid, homocystinuria

Renal forms

Generalized forms

  • primarily for inherited disorders
  • secondary to acquired disorders
