The house at Amsdorfstraße 2 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the south side of Amsdorfstraße in Magdeburg's Sudenburg district . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Amsdorfstrasse 1 to the west. To the east is the community and all-day secondary school Johann Wolfgang von Goethe .

Architecture and history

The three- to four-storey building dates from around 1900. The nine-axis facade of the plastered building has a simple design. The four western axes are spanned by a large tail gable. In the ensemble with the neighboring house at Amsdorfstraße 1, the opposite block at Amsdorfstraße 2, Helmstedter Straße 39–41 and the school, the building is considered to be characteristic of the street scene.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed under registration number 094 81923 as a monument .
