The Garze office was a historical administrative area of ​​the Principality of Lüneburg .

The office arose from the possession of the noble family von dem Berge, which consisted of the four so-called "Bruchdörfern" and free float in the area of ​​neighboring offices. In 1623 the male family died out and left its property to the dukes of Celle, who formed their own Garze office from it. From 1742 the Garze office was co-administered by the Bleckede office . In 1823 it opened up in the Bleckede office.
