District Court of Friedenau
The District Court of Friedenau (later: District Court of Friedenau ) was briefly a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Berlin in 1945 .
After the Second World War , the court organization in Berlin was reorganized at short notice. The Soviet occupying power set up a district court in every district of Berlin. Friedenau was under Soviet occupation from April 29 to June 30, 1945 . From May 5 (confirmation by the Soviet administration on May 7) to July 28, 1945 (ordered by the US administration on July 13), Friedenau was an independent 21st Berlin district with Willy Pölchen ( KPD ) as district mayor. Presumably for these reasons such a district court was set up for Friedenau (the same applied to the district administration ). The district courts were later given the designation “District Court”.
The court was based in the Friedenau town hall at Lauterstraße 20.
On May 18, 1945, Chief Justice Beek was hired as a judge at the Friedenau District Court. He and the non-judicial staff were released on July 28, 1945. It can be assumed that the court ceased its work. In a letter from the President of the Regional Court to the Berlin Senator for Justice from 1952, he stated that the files did not contain any revocation orders.
At its 12th meeting on September 27, 1945 , the Allied Command decided on the judicial structure of the occupied city. One returned to the traditional division with three instances. Twelve district courts were formed again. The Friedenau district court was then dissolved at the latest and incorporated into the Schöneberg district court.
