An-Nabī Shaith ( Arabic النبي شيث, DMG an-Nabī Šaiṯ , also El Nabi Chit, Al-Nabi Shayth ) is a place in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate of Lebanon.
An-Nabī Schaith lies in the Bekaa plain in Lebanon. The place is about 75 km east of Beirut and 22 km south of Baalbek in the border region with Syria. “An-Nabī Shaith” is Arabic for the prophet Seth . The village was so named because it is believed to contain the tomb of Set , the son of Adam. A mosque was built at the burial site, in which the grave of Set is located.
