Note 1 : According to the resolution of the Lebanese parliament of August 2017, the districts of Jbeil and Keserwan are to form the independent Keserwan-Jbeil governorate with its seat in Jounieh .

Note 2 : The districts of Baalbek and Hermel have formed the independent Baalbek-Hermel governorate since 2014 .

Note 3 : The district of Akkar has been the independent province of Akkar since 2014 .
