An Óige ( Irish for youth ), English: Irish Youth Hostel Association (IYHA), is the youth hostel association of the Republic of Ireland .

An Óige was founded in 1931 as a membership organization and is a member of the international youth hostel association Hostelling International . The seat is in the capital Dublin , Mountjoy Street 61, in the building of the local youth hostel.

An Óige currently operates 22 youth hostels in the Republic of Ireland (as of autumn 2018). Some of them are only operated in the summer season, but in the larger cities and in some rural areas the houses are open all year round. Overnight stays are also possible without membership in a member association of Hostelling International, but members are granted a discount of 10 percent. There is no age restriction. There is a cooperation with the Northern Irish sister association Hostelling International Northern Ireland, which operates six hostels in the British province.
