Analytic Network Process
The term analytic network process or analytical network process (ANP) describes a technique for solving multi- criteria decision problems under security and for carrying out forecasts . Situations in which the ANP can be used are e.g. B. Choosing a car to buy or forecasting market shares by companies.
General description of the ANP
The ANP was developed by the mathematician Thomas L. Saaty and represents a further development of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In contrast to the AHP, in which the criteria are arranged hierarchically, the ANP enables the creation of decision networks .
