Analytical ethnology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The analytical anthropology refers to a scientific theoretical doctrine of Social Anthropology (Ethnology) and is distinct from the interpretative anthropology . One of the basic assumptions is that there are causally explainable regularities in human behavior. In order to discover these, standardized, structured and, if possible, quantifiable methods are applied to the research object. Care, control and accuracy during the application of these methods make it possible to incorporate the results into hypotheses that describe an objectively given reality.
