Anar Alizada

Anar Alizada (born September 21, 1978 in Naxçıvan ) is an Azerbaijani businessman, owner and managing director of the Union Grand Energy group of companies, founder of Baku Business Factory, founder of SOCAR Trading (other founders: SOCAR , Valeri Golovuschkin) and former president.

Life

Alizada was born in 1978 in the city of Naxçıvan. After graduating from general secondary school, he studied economics at the State University of Nightshivan's bachelor's degree between 1996 and 2000, and then took up a master's degree in economic administration at the Academy of Public Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan .

Since the end of the 1990s, he began his business activity importing various products from the Republic of Turkey to the city of Nachtischwan. Then he dealt with imports and passenger transport in the sense of family business.

Since the beginning of 20th years Anar Alizada has arrived in Baku and its business activities in Baku continued. He invested his first capital from trading activity between Turkey and Nightshivan in the real estate market of the city of Baku. A few years later, after the unexpected rise in real estate prices, he made huge profits.

Since mid-2000, Alizada has established trade relations with the United Arab Emirates. As a result, he founded Azerbaijan's first investment company in the United Arab Emirates , engaged in the production and sale of computer and electronic equipment.

Petroleum sector

After starting business in the United Arab Emirates, he worked in the oil sector. For this purpose he founded the company Grand GmbH and dealt with trading activities and the provision of technical services for oil companies. This activity has made him a partner of SOCAR. This partnership has led to the establishment of the local SOCAR Trading AG, which carries out the sale of Azerbaijani crude oil (Azeri Light) on the world market. Anar Alizada, who owns 25% of the shares, has held the positions of General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors for six years. In 2012 he sold all shares of SOCAR Trading AG to the company SOCAR.

Some time later, in 2007, he gathered all his companies under the Union Grand Energy company in Singapore and opened a representative office for this company in Baku.

Others

Alizada currently heads several companies operating in the commercial, operational, petroleum and construction sectors in Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Singapore. Its main activity in Azerbaijan consists of increasing oil production in soil oil fields, drilling new oil fields and supplying them with modern equipment, participating in the “Baku Ag Shahar” project and supporting business initiative among the juniors.
