Anastasija Harrowna Bräuniger (born September 30, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German-Russian actress and director .

Life

Anastasija Bräuniger grew up in Moscow, the United Kingdom and Germany. From 2010 to 2014 she studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theater. In 2013 she received the Ad Infinitum scholarship and in 2014 the Proskenion young talent award for performing arts. After graduating in 2014, she worked for the first time at the Heilbronn Theater. During her time at the theater, Anastasija initiated her own projects, including the walk-in interactive installation Fluchtpunkt Berliner Platz or the interdisciplinary exhibition a vast country in Complex23 with her own pictures and photographs. In 2016 she temporarily left the theater as an actress to study directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin. In the same year she founded the workshop stage FLUGWERK Berlin with her colleague Katharina Leonore Goebel . In addition to her artistic work as an actress and director, Anastasija is involved in the social and humanitarian context and a. in cooperation with the NGO SWISS4SYRIA.

Acting

As an actress, Anastasija worked mainly on stage, including as Antigone, in a text version and world premiere of John von Düffel's Antigone; Princess Eboli in Don Karlos and Antonia in a stage adaptation of Don Quixote. After smaller film projects, she took on a leading role in the web series EinfachMaria in 2018, in which she also directed an episode. For her portrayal of Vicky in EinfachMaria, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award on Die Seriale in 2019.

Artistic interventions / artistic social projects

In 2016 Anastasija directed the short film “CHAMPIONS” in collaboration with the Iranian filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi in Iraq. This was nominated and awarded at international festivals, including the Human Rights Film Festival San Sebastian and the Diritto al Corto in Rome. In 2018 followed her second short film INTERVIEW, which was made in cooperation with the Swiss NGO SWISS4SYRIA and shot in the south of Lebanon. The Beermann Brothers produced and composed the soundtrack for this.
