André Turnheim
André Turnheim (* 1960 in Dresden ) is a German theater, film and television director who is currently employed at the Landestheater Linz .
André Turnheim grew up in Leipzig and Vienna. After studying acting and directing in Stuttgart and Graz, he graduated from the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. He staged more than 30 plays in Freiburg, Leipzig, Cologne, Edinburgh, Stuttgart, etc., including stories from the Vienna Woods , People's Destruction , Medea , Hooligan , Am Ziel , The bitter tears of Petra von Kant .
He received several nominations for the next generation director in Theater heute for the German-language premiere of Trainspotting , as well as M - a city is looking for a murderer .
For several years he worked as a theater director in Cologne and was in charge of the festival in Saarland. He directed images for various theater recordings, news programs and talk formats for various broadcasters ( ARTE , WDR , ORF ).
