The moated castle Unterscheffach is a lost moated castle south below the Kirchstrasse of the village of Unterscheffach in the municipality Wolpertshausen in the district Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Wuerttemberg .
The moated castle, probably a motte (tower hill castle), was built in the 11th century by the Lords of Scheffach, mentioned in 1085 and destroyed before the middle of the 16th century. Only a remnant of a moat is left of the former castle complex .
