The Postal Holenstein is an Outbound hilltop castle on a spur above the mouth of the mouth angle of Reute Bach in the Avenbach in the district Holenstein the community Bühlerzell in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The castle stable consists only of the castle hill and the remains of a moat .

200 meters south of Holenstein, on a spur-like ledge facing the Bühler, there is a nameless castle stable, which local tradition calls the Old Castle. The Burgstall could have been used briefly or not at all. It remains to be seen whether the "Kunz rested sitting at Holenstein" mentioned in 1389 was sitting in the castle stables.
