Francesco Bottigliero

Francesco Bottigliero (born October 10, 1974 in Salerno ) is an Italian conductor , pianist and composer .
Life
He grew up in Salerno ( Italy ) and studied at the local conservatory "Giuseppe Martucci" . Already at the age of 21 he made his diploma in piano , three years later in composition . In 2002 and 2005 further diplomas in conducting and choral conducting at the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples a . a. with Carlo Maria Giulini . In addition, he completed a degree in philosophy in 2005 with a thesis on musical aesthetics “with distinction”.
As a concert and opera conductor, he has already worked with numerous orchestras, including the Moldavian Symphony Orchestra Chisinau , the Orchestra di San Pietro a Majella in Naples, the St. Petersburg Congress Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestras in Wroclaw , Krakow , Poznan and Gdansk . Engagements as a repetitor have led him to a. to the Hamburg State Opera (2006/07) and the Breslau State Opera (2007–2009). From 2011 to 2014 he was employed as the second conductor and repetitor at the Erfurt Theater. He conducts the operas Robert le diable , Henry Purcell's King Arthur , The Drink of Immortality ( ETA Hoffmann ), Carmen , Anatevka , Giulio Cesare , I Medici ( Leoncavallo ) and the Lombards ( Verdi ) and Turandot for the Cathedral Stages Festival . Guest conductors lead him a. a. to Bytom-Katowice ( Madama Butterfly , Tosca ), Danzig ( Figaro's wedding ) and to Posen ( Maddalena , La serva padrona ).
As a pianist, Francesco Bottigliero devoted himself primarily to chamber music at an early age and was the winner of several competitions. In numerous chamber concerts he played as a pianist alongside members of the orchestra of La Scala in Milan and the orchestra of the Arena di Verona . In 2013 he founded a piano trio with Julian Dedu and Claudia Schwarze .
For many years, Francesco Bottigliero has also devoted himself to composition.
