The castle Hengstfeld is an Outbound Turmhügelburg (moth) north of the church in the district Hengstfeld the municipality Wallhausen in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Wuerttemberg .
The lords of Hengstfeld , feudal people of the Hohenlohe, are attested as owners of the castle, which was probably built in the 11th to 12th centuries, until 1312. After the von Hengstenfeld was extinguished, the castle and its accessories came to the drought of Crailsheim and, through their heirs, to the von Wollmershausen family in 1356. The castle and the place were destroyed in the city war in 1449 .
