463 hill towers are officially registered in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Tower hill castles existed in Mecklenburg from 1200, in Western Pomerania from 1230 and on Rügen from 1250. They usually stood for about 100 years and were replaced by castles or mansions.

  • Gransgebieth: Tower Hill Kirch Baggendorf ( Gransebieth ), documented annex 1327, finds: 1706 fountains u. old leg irons, foundation stones excavated in 1909, brick rubble and the like. Field stones
  • Grammendorf: Tower Hill Grammendorf , no description
  • Gremersdorf-Buchholz: Pöglitz tower hill ( Gremersdorf-Buchholz ), trenches plowed in E and N, rectangular system with foundations of 2 buildings, dimensions: 15 × 15 m, trenches 3–4.5 m wide and 2 m deep; FlN "Zetelvitzer Friedhof" - desert
  • Grim: Tower Hill grim detected: artificially piled tower hill, backed foot with Feldstein pack. Remains of two buildings of different heights exposed on the plateau; North stone foundation probably 1320, south brick wall, northern foundation - remains of the floors documented and finds. West field stone foundation exposed, 14th century, "knight's house" handed down through written and pictorial sources. 3500 shards of gray goods recovered, south slope 13th century, interpreted as a wall on the ditch. Predecessor of Grimmen Castle. Now built with a water tower.
  • Grimmen: Tower Hill Grellenberg ( Grimmen ), FlN: "Schaukelberg", three stone benches, brick rubble u. Boulders, shards of hard gray goods, broken pieces. Flat glass - green-brown

  • Lindholz: Tower Hill Böhlendorf ( Lindholz ), on the outskirts of the village, Basisdm. approx. 16-20 m, plateau m. approx. 10–12 m., trench remains filled; Plant sanded
  • Lindholz: Tangrim ( Lindholz ) tower hill , dimensions: 15 × 20 m, H = 3 m, remnants of the surrounding ditch visible. Encircled interior of the hill - rocks and brick remains.
  • Löbnitz in Western Pomerania: Redebas tower hill ( Löbnitz (Western Pomerania) ), FlN "Schwedenschanze", Dm. approx. 40 m, height approx. 1.5 m, surrounded by a ring wall with a moat; Finds: Shards of hard gray ware, edge shards of spherical pot
  • Marlow: Bookhorst ( Marlow ) tower hill , 3 m high, 15 m diameter , surrounded by water, littered
  • Marlow: Gresenhorst tower hill ( Marlow ), Wiebeking'sche Karte and Schmettau - small island with ring moat
  • Nehringen: Tower Hill Nehringen , double tower hill, some stone remains, 1 km to O
  • Papenhagen: Tower Hill Rolofshagen ( Papenhagen ), FlN "Räuberberg", "Wallberg", "Burggraben", in the manor park, Dm. approx. 40 m, height approx. 3–5 m, trench width 5–10 m, bridge access; Shards of hard gray goods
  • Preetz near Stralsund: Preetz tower hill ( Preetz (near Stralsund) ), very striking TH, dimensions: 20 × 25 m, H 2 m, with moat
  • Prerow: Turmhügel Prerow , FlN: “Hertesburg” (old castle wall), early German with double moat; Finds: 1 cutlass, 1 grape, blue-gray handle shard. Emergency recovery after unauthorized construction work: 10 posts, 3.3 km to the E - on the Prerow river

  • Sundhagen: Tower Hill Segebadenhau ( Sundhagen ), FlN “Schlossberg”, two-part system, documented as “castrum Ekbergh”. Blue-gray ceramics, bricks and clay blocks, 2 km to the NE.
  • Tribsees: Stremlow tower hill ( Tribsees ), well preserved, digging dry, near the open-air museum
