history
Place name and foundation
As in other places, the spelling of the place name was subject to constant change over time, as there was no standardized spelling until the 19th century. For Hainzendorf there was the oldest written spelling from the year 1071 "Heinrichesdorf", 1335 and 1337 "Heinczendorff", 1349 "Heinczendorf", 1624 "Jeintzendorff" and 1801 for the first time today's spelling "Hainzendorf".
In terms of linguistic history, Hainzendorf can be interpreted as the village of Hainzo (or Heinzo). The name is a diminutive of the first name Henry. Most likely, Hainzendorf was founded in the 10th century and the name Heinrich will refer to the Margrave Heinrich von Schweinfurt who died on September 18, 1017 . After the margravial house of the male line had died out with the death of his son Otto , Otto's daughter Alberat inherited the manor-made merrymaking association “Counstat” (old and castle art town) with the associated locus Heinricheshof , today's hamlet of Hainzendorf, along with other properties in Upper Franconia . The Hainz Dorfer Urhof may have been created as a fortified farmstead of a Vasallens Schweinfurt Marquis at the turn of the 10th to the 11th century, whose job it was, like many of their vassals at the edge of Alberatischen possessions in the Upper Main area, clearing perform. It could be a member of the noble family von Gerendenrode from the neighboring Gärtenroth , who built up in the 11th century around their ancestral seat in gartenroth and around the settlements of Hain and Weides clearing lords .
The first documentary mention was in 1330 as "Heinzendorf". In 1335 a Kuno zu Punzendorf sold his farm in "Heinczendorff" to the Langheim monastery .
Early modern times to today
On January 1, 1977, Hainzendorf was incorporated into the town of Burgkunstadt, together with Reuth, as part of the municipality of Kirchlein as part of the municipal reform in Bavaria .
