Eben is a hamlet with 29 inhabitants and is part of the Upper Franconian town of Burgkunstadt .

Geographical location

Eben is 391  m above sea level. NHN on a slope clay layer over rocks of the Black Jura on the southern edge of the Gartenroth-Veitlahmer hill country , a high plateau pushed up a good hundred meters high from the south . The center of Burgkunstadt is about 7 km to the west. The next localities are Gartenroth , Lopphof , Danndorf , Schwarzholz and Eichberg .

history

The first documentary mention was in 1520 in the land register of the Bamberg caste office in Weismain.

On January 1, 1977, as part of the municipal reform in Bavaria , Eben was incorporated into the town of Burgkunstadt as part of the Gartenroth municipality together with its other districts of Wildenroth , Lopphof and Flurholz .
