Pfaffeggetten is a hamlet with 3 inhabitants and is part of the Upper Franconian town of Burgkunstadt .

Geographical location

Pfaffeggetten is located at 415  m above sea level. NHN , on a plateau in the southern area of ​​the Burkersdorfer Rhätolias hill country , which towers over the core town of Burgkunstadt by a good 100 m. The soils around the settlement consist of loess and loess clay over stratified rocks of the Schwarzjuras-α3 and sandstone of the Upper Keuper to Schwarzjuras-α2. The next villages are Hainweiher and Meuselsberg . The center of Burgkunstadt is around 1.9 km to the south-west.

The first documentary mention was in 1520 as "Pfaffenfelt" in the land register of the Bamberg caste office in Weismain .

In the state and local elections in 1974, the old community of Ebneth, with the two districts of Hainweiher and Pfaffeggetten, voted 107-17 to incorporate them into Burgkunstadt. The official incorporation, made necessary by the municipal reform in Bavaria , took place on January 1st, 1975.
