Location of Neue Weiher in Bavaria

Neue Weiher is a wasteland with one inhabitant and is part of the Upper Franconian town of Burgkunstadt . Six fish ponds of different sizes give the settlement its name .

Geographical location

Neue Weiher is located at 310 m above sea level. NHN , in a notch valley , formed by the Wildenrother Mühlbach , on the western edge of the Gartenroth-Veitlahmer hill country . The inclined slopes consist of castle sandstone , Feuerletten and sandy-clay coverings of these two rock layers. The next localities are Wildenroth , Gärtenroth , Mainroth , Mainklein and Hainzendorf . The center of Burgkunstadt is located around 5.5 km to the southwest.

history

The settlement did not emerge until the middle of the 19th century. On January 1, 1977, Neue Weiher was incorporated into the town of Burgkunstadt as part of the old community of Gärtenroth along with its other districts of Flurholz , Lopphof , Wildenroth and Eben as part of the municipal reform in Bavaria .
