Hainweiher is a village with 62 inhabitants and at the same time a district of Burgkunstadt in the Lichtenfels district .

Geographical location

Hainweiher is located on a plateau , about one kilometer north of the town center of Burgkunstadt, at 399–417 m above sea level. NN . To the south of the village, on the Hainweiherer Berg, lies the hamlet of Meuselsberg , and to the west is the parish village of Ebneth . At the foot of the plateau the Main flows past, so that due to its location, Hainweiher belongs to the Upper Main floodplain region.

history

When Hainweiher was founded and by whom is unclear. It was first mentioned in 1789 as "Haynweiler", which belonged to the Ebneth rule of the Barons von Seckendorff and consisted of two estates, three small estates, six houses and a tavern.

The Ebneth volunteer fire brigade was founded on August 30, 1896. Since Ebneth and Heinweiher formed an independent, common community in the 20th century, the fire brigade was later renamed Ebneth-Hainweiher volunteer fire brigade . Today's fire station in Hainweiher was built in August and September 1995.

Since wastewater disposal in Hainweiher, Ebneth and Meuselsberg has been a problem for many years, the city council of Burgkunstadt decided in 2008 to connect the villages to the municipal sewage works. After collecting signatures at the end of 2010, the construction of small wastewater treatment plants in Meuselsberg has been planned, but Hainweiher and Ebneth will most likely be connected to the central sewage disposal system. The construction work has not yet been started.
