Districts

history

The community suffered badly during the Thirty Years' War . With the Peace of Westphalia of 1648, Western Pomerania and with it the place Ahrenshagen-Daskow came under Swedish rule and in 1815 the municipality and Western Pomerania came to Prussia .

After the Thirty Years War until 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania . It was part of the Franzburg-Barth district until 1952 and then belonged to the Ribnitz-Damgarten district in the Rostock district until 1994 .

Ahrenshagen and Daskow were merged on January 1, 2001 to form the new municipality of Ahrenshagen-Daskow.

Ahrenshagen was first mentioned in a document in 1323. It was created in the course of the German colonization in the east . The village church of Ahrenshagen dates from the 13th and 14th centuries, the tower made of field stone from the 15th century.

Daskow is of Slavic origin.

Pantlitz was first mentioned in a document in 1347. This is where the Battle of the Raxa probably took place. The Slavic hill fort from the 8th - 9th centuries was a border castle. For a long time the landowners were von Mörder , from 1732 von Pfuel , from 1824 the Barons of Mecklenburg and from 1924 to 1945 Oberamtmann Matthies. The manor house dates from the beginning of the 20th century and the Pantlitz village church from 1868.

Tribohm was first mentioned in 1268 when Eckard von Dechow bequeathed land to Neuenkamp Monastery . The Slavic place name can be derived from a personal name. The village church Tribohm was built around 1250, the tower probably in 1421. In 1272 the monastery took over the patronage of the church and in 1456 the University of Greifswald . The manor house dates from 1846.
