history

Lüdershagen was first mentioned in a document in 1278. The place was created in the course of the German colonization in the east . The locators and first landlords were those of Ploetz ; Roloff de Plocech sold his property to the city of Stralsund in 1290 .

After the Thirty Years' War until 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania .

The community was part of the Franzburg-Barth district until 1952 and then belonged to the Ribnitz-Damgarten district in the Rostock district until 1994 .

During restoration work in the Lüdershagen village church, archaeologists discovered almost 300 up to 700 year old coins made of silver and copper under the brick floor.
