Grammendorf is a municipality in the south of the Vorpommern-Rügen district . It is part of the Recknitz-Trebeltal office based in the city of Tribsees .
Geography and traffic
Grammendorf is about 15 kilometers southwest of Grimmen and about ten kilometers southeast of Tribsees . The federal motorway 20 to the north of the municipality can be reached via the Tribsees connection (approx. 9 km). In the southwest the community borders on the Trebel . There is a water hiking rest area in Nehringen . The river is also the border between Pomerania and Mecklenburg .

The area belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania until the 17th century . After the Thirty Years' War until 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania .
It was part of the Grimmen district until 1952 and then belonged to the Grimmen district in the Rostock district until 1994 .

The district of Nehringen was first mentioned in 1387.
Grammendorf
Grammendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1321. On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Rodde was incorporated.
Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag . The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the region of Western Pomerania . It shows an upright griffin with a raised tail and the inscription "GEMEINDE GRAMMENDORF".
