Kramerhof is a municipality northwest of Stralsund in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen . The municipality is administered by the Altenpleen office based in the Altenpleen municipality.
Geography and traffic
The community lies between Prohner Wiek and Strelasund in a flat landscape. The municipality is mostly used for agriculture. Larger bodies of water and forest area are completely absent apart from a forest area near Parow and the smaller parks near Parow and Groß Kedingshagen. There is a training area near Parow. The easternmost point of the municipality is Parower Haken on Strelasund.
Kramerhof borders directly on the northern edge of Stralsund. There is a small airfield near Groß Kedingshagen.

After the Thirty Years' War until 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania .
Kramerhof was part of the Franzburg-Barth district until 1952 and then belonged to the Stralsund district in the Rostock district until 1994 .
In 2003 the naval technology school of the Bundeswehr in Parow was completed. It is considered the most important construction project of the German Navy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Kedingshagen was first mentioned in a document in 1318. Kramerhof was previously part of Kedingshagen. The community was owned by Stralsund for a long time. In the 15th century, the place was divided into Groß Kedingshagen and Klein Kedingshagen. The Good Great Kedingshagen was for many years the Stralsund shipowners and Consul Bartels and his descendants.
Kramerhof: The estate was donated to the Kramer-Compagnie von Stralsund by Stralsund's Everd Drulleshagen before 1556 . It was leased. The proceeds from the property were donated to a poor charity until 1945. The last tenant was Robert Willihöft, who was shot by the Russians in the village. The manor house has been privately owned since 1994.

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag . The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the region of Western Pomerania . It shows an upright griffin with a raised tail and the inscription "GEMEINDE KRAMERHOF * LANDKREIS VORPOMMERN-RÜGEN".
economy
A shopping center ( Strelapark ) and a sports and recreational pool ( HanseDom ) with a hotel complex ( Radisson Blu ) were built in the area of the municipality of Kramerhof in the 1990s . In Vogelsang hall wearing Stralsunder HV its home games in the handball league.
