Altenwillershagen

Altenwillershagen is a district of the municipality of Ahrenshagen-Daskow , about 7 km from Ribnitz-Damgarten , with about 300 inhabitants. It is located in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern .

Formerly the place was just an estate that was leased by the owner at the beginning of the 20th century . The village currently consists of two parts: the so-called "old village" and the "new village". The inhabitants mainly do agriculture and rent rooms and apartments for the growing tourism . In the village itself there is the volunteer fire brigade , a train station ( Stralsund – Rostock route ), a manor house, restaurants, pensions and so-called “Vom Hof” sales, places where the farmers offer their agricultural products.

The cultural and traditional events include the fire brigade festival, the village festival and the Easter bonfire .
