geography

Geographical location

Lengdorf is located in the Munich region in the Isen valley about nine kilometers west of Dorfen , 24 km north of Ebersberg , 14 km southeast of Erding and 28 km from Munich Airport. It is 45 km to the state capital Munich , and in future the long-planned, but highly controversial route of the A 94 will offer better connections.

To the north of the main town, the Munich – Simbach railway line crosses the town in a west-east direction at the level of the town of Thann .

The Große Vils rises south of the Seeon wasteland and flows in a north-easterly direction to Taufkirchen .

Until the church is planted

Lengdorf was first mentioned in 1090 and was part of the nearby Hofmark Kopfsburg for more than 500 years, from 1682/1685 owned by the Freising Monastery ; today Kopfsburg is a district of Lengdorf. Lengdorf belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and the Erding Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
