Oberding is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and a member of the administrative community of the same name .

geography

Oberding is located in the Munich region in the middle of the Erdinger Moos between the Sempt and Dorfen rivers. The village is located about six kilometers northwest of the district town of Erding , 17 km south of Freising and 36 km from the state capital Munich in the immediate vicinity of Munich Airport .

Before 1992, the residents of Franzheim and some of Schwaigermoos were relocated for the construction of the runways at Munich Airport . Much of today's airport site, including the terminals, is in the municipality. Another partial demolition of Schwaigermoos would be necessary for the planned construction of the third runway.

In 1801, the " Unterföhrung-Aufkirchen baseline " was established for the complete measurement of Bavaria ; one of the two endpoints was the base pyramid - it is located in Aufkirchen near the Aufkirchen power plant .

Waters and nature

The Middle Isar Canal and the little river Dorfen as well as the Gfallach flow through the municipality of Oberding , all roughly in a south-north direction. Early history

From the early Bronze Age (around 1650 v. Chr.) Since 1972, the year of the municipal reform, the population has increased by 3,045 people until 2015. This corresponds to a growth of 98.04 percent. In the last ten (five) years the population increased by 18.58 (12.00) percent.

Between 1988 and 2018 the community experienced a nearly doubling of its population from 3,356 to 6,505 by 3,149 inhabitants or by 93.8%.

Mayor and City Council

Mayor is Bernhard Mücke (joint election proposal from CSU and voter communities). The municipal council for the 2014–2020 term of office has 20 members, 4 of them from the CSU and 1 from the SPD. The voting communities are represented with 15 seats: Aufkirchen 3, Niederding 2, Notzing 3, Notzinger Moos 1, Oberding 3 and Schwaig / Schwaigermoos 3.

Council taxes

The municipal tax revenue amounted to around € 31.7 million in 2014, of which the trade tax revenue (net) was € 25.6 million. Oberding's tax power is well above the national average, the municipality is debt-free (2014).

In 2016 there were a total of 11,270 jobs subject to social security contributions in the municipality, which is more than 1,000 residents.
