Oberding is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and a member of the administrative community of the same name .
geography
Oberding is located in the Munich region in the middle of the Erdinger Moos between the Sempt and Dorfen rivers. The village is located about six kilometers northwest of the district town of Erding , 17 km south of Freising and 36 km from the state capital Munich in the immediate vicinity of Munich Airport .

Before 1992, the residents of Franzheim and some of Schwaigermoos were relocated for the construction of the runways at Munich Airport . Much of today's airport site, including the terminals, is in the municipality. Another partial demolition of Schwaigermoos would be necessary for the planned construction of the third runway.
In 1801, the " Unterföhrung-Aufkirchen baseline " was established for the complete measurement of Bavaria ; one of the two endpoints was the base pyramid - it is located in Aufkirchen near the Aufkirchen power plant .
Waters and nature
The Middle Isar Canal and the little river Dorfen as well as the Gfallach flow through the municipality of Oberding , all roughly in a south-north direction. There is the Notzingermoos nature reserve (NSG-00494.01) with 138.9 ha to the west of Notzing and the Oberdingermoos nature reserve (NSG-00492.01) with a size of 138.6 ha.
history
Early history
From the early Bronze Age (around 1650 v. Chr.) Where a 2014 discovered, carefully salvaged and documented hoard ( clasp bullion hoard of Oberding ) of 791 standardized clasp bars of copper from the Salzburg region and probably also from Slovakia contains and Museum Erding issued is. The majority of these bars had been placed in groups of 10 by 10 bundles - one of the earliest European references to the use of a decimal system and a weight system.
From the first mention to the church planting
The place Dieng (today's municipality Oberding) appears as "villa deoinga" for the first time in a document dated July 3, 750 as the place of issue of a deed of donation from the Bavarian Duke Tassilos III. on. The place was later part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark of the cathedral chapter of the Hochstift Freising , which was abolished with the Hochstift in 1803 .

In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 . On April 1, 1934, the district of Mariabrunn was given to Hallbergmoos and in 1938 Siglfing to Erding. On May 1, 1978, the neighboring community of Notzing was dissolved and their towns of Notzing and Notzingermoos came to Oberding, Goldach came to Hallbergmoos .

Since 1972, the year of the municipal reform, the population has increased by 3,045 people until 2015. This corresponds to a growth of 98.04 percent. In the last ten (five) years the population increased by 18.58 (12.00) percent.
Between 1988 and 2018 the community experienced a nearly doubling of its population from 3,356 to 6,505 by 3,149 inhabitants or by 93.8%.

Mayor and City Council
Mayor is Bernhard Mücke (joint election proposal from CSU and voter communities). The municipal council for the 2014–2020 term of office has 20 members, 4 of them from the CSU and 1 from the SPD. The voting communities are represented with 15 seats: Aufkirchen 3, Niederding 2, Notzing 3, Notzinger Moos 1, Oberding 3 and Schwaig / Schwaigermoos 3.
Council taxes
The municipal tax revenue amounted to around € 31.7 million in 2014, of which the trade tax revenue (net) was € 25.6 million. Oberding's tax power is well above the national average, the municipality is debt-free (2014).
Jobs
In 2016 there were a total of 11,270 jobs subject to social security contributions in the municipality, which is more than 1,000 residents. Of these positions, 19 were in agriculture and forestry, 1180 in manufacturing, 6269 in trade, transport and hospitality, and 3802 with other service providers. There were a total of 10,777 in-commuters and 2,369 out-commuters.

The coat of arms of the municipality of Oberding was established on May 25, 1950: “In blue, a silver scythe leaf placed on the left.” Next to the coat of arms, the municipality wields a flag in the colors blue-white-blue.
Economy and Infrastructure
Economy including agriculture and forestry
Munich Airport , which was opened in 1992 and is largely within the municipal area , represents the most important economic factor. There is a public transport connection with the MVV bus lines 511 and 512 as well as with the line 515 in the southern area of Aufkirchen-Notzing-Notzingermoos .
The Aufkirchen power plant is located in the Notzing district on the Mittlere-Isar Canal . The Altenerding – Pfrombach railway line built for its construction ran along the canal until 1967 .
According to official statistics, there were 19 employees at the place of work in the field of agriculture and forestry, 1180 in the manufacturing sector and 6269 in the trade and transport sector. 3802 people were employed as other service providers.
education
In 2017 there were 357 children in the kindergartens and crèches (including school kindergartens).
In 2018/2019, a total of 244 students were taught by 21 full-time teachers in the Oberding elementary and middle school , of which 143 were taught by eight teachers in the elementary school.
The private Montessori elementary school Oberding - Aufkirchen had 259 students and 17 full-time teachers in the 2018/2019 school year.
At the Staatl. Realschule Oberding taught 27 full-time teachers to 390 students in 2018/2019.
