Notzing is a place in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and part of the municipality of Oberding .

location

Notzing is located between the Dorfen and the Middle Isar Canal on the southern edge of the municipality of Oberding on the border with Moosinning . Within the municipality of Oberding, Notzing borders on the following parts of the municipality: in the north on Oberding, in the west on Notzingermoos and in the east on Aufkirchen . There is a public transport connection with the MVV bus lines 512 and 515.

history

A few individual finds, a bronze needle, a bronze knife and a tumulus, indicate that the area of ​​Notzing dates back to 2000 BC. Was settled.

The current settlement of Notzing probably dates back to the 6th to 8th centuries. The name is derived from a personal name, which was reconstructed as "Nozo", and means something like "with the people, the clan of Nozo".

The place name was first mentioned in the time of Bishop Abraham von Freising (957-994), when an Odalrih de Nozingun was mentioned as a witness in a document.

On May 1, 1978 the community of Notzing was dissolved and divided between the communities of Oberding (districts Notzing and Notzingermoos) and Hallbergmoos (district Goldach ).

The community had an area of ​​21.3573 km². At the census on May 25, 1987, the three districts of the former municipality had a population of 2,462, 1802 of which were in Goldach, which is part of the Hallbergmoos municipality.

Townscape

Notzing has retained its historical form of settlement as a cluster village to this day . Individual farms are clustered around the hill on which the Church of St. Nicholas is built. The south-western quarter of the village is formed by a park in which the castle of the former local rulers is located.

On the outskirts, especially in the east, there are newer housing estates.
