The Dorfen is a river in Upper Bavaria and belongs to the Isar river system .

The Dorfen rises north of the Ismaninger reservoir in the municipality of Finsing and runs mainly to the north through the municipalities of Neuching , Moosinning , Oberding , Eitting and Berglern . There it flows into the Isar in the Isarauen nature reserve between Hangenham and Moosburg .

Originally several streams flowed to the village, which had their source in the moor area north of Kirchheim , Landsham and Pliening . After the construction of the Middle Isar Canal and the reservoir, the village is now starting again as a drainage ditch north of the reservoir.
