Avenue D were an American electroclash duo from New York City . They started their careers in 2001 and announced their breakup in 2007 after several albums and many international appearances .
history
The duo began at the time of the electroclash wave, in which artists such as Fischerspooner and Felix da Housecat also became known. In 2005, her piece Do I Look Like a Slut? # 8 on Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales . In the same year they contributed Orgasmatron, a track to the soundtrack of the old porn film New Wave Hookers by Eon McKai . In the course of their careers they played in Japan, Brazil, England and also in Germany.
Based on the texts (e.g. "[...] I wish that he would just ... Shut up and stick, just stick it in!", Freely translated: "[...] I wish he would just ... shut up and stick it!" ) Avenue D struggled to get a record deal and released most of their music on their own label, Avenue Dreams .
