Fischerspooner was an American duo from New York , consisting of Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner. Fischerspooner is a well-known representative of electronic music . The band name is made up of the surnames of the two band members.

Fischerspooner are considered pioneers of electroclash , which combines electronic music with stylistic elements of punk and independent music. In 1998 they first appeared with spectacular shows in clubs, theaters and galleries that had not previously been rehearsed.

Warren Fischer takes over the musical part, Casey Spooner the lyrical / vocal technical part of the band. Fischerspooner are particularly characterized by intensive live performances with many costume changes and "circus performances", which are based on the style and sounds of the 1980s. As a result, the team of the two artists expanded to include costume and makeup designers, as well as technicians, background singers and dancers.

In 2000 they performed at the “Gigolo Label Night” in the Berlin club WMF on the occasion of the Love Parade .

In the 2005 released album Odyssey , however, the duo is more oriented towards styles of electropop .

On October 30, 2019, the duo announced their breakup.
