The Oberdingermoos nature reserve is located in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding , in the municipality of Oberding , west of Schwaig, south of the southern runway of Munich Airport . It has a size of 138.6  hectares and is registered under NSG-00492.01.

The Erdinger Moos once had extensive moss areas, but only remnants have survived. In particular, the construction of the Munich airport (opened in 1992) led to significant changes and lowering of the groundwater level.

The nature reserve is characterized by a small-scale alternation of unused and intensively used areas. There are also birch forests, bushes, and nutrient-rich herbaceous vegetation.
