The 251 hectare nature reserve Zengermoos (NSG-00491.01) is located in the Erdinger Moos, southeast of Hallbergmoos and north of the B 388 on the district border just before the village of Zengermoos. It is almost entirely in the area of the municipality of Moosinning (district of Erding).
It is one of the largest contiguous birch forest ecosystems in Bavaria. The undisturbed development of the bog forest took place on peat limestone low moorland . Sometimes there are transitions to birch, oak, hornbeam and moist forest. In the southern part there are still a number of spruce monocultures that date back to before the 2002 protection. The forest can still be used now. In the south-east there is a 150 m² forest and hunting hut, which was built in the late 1990s instead of several small black buildings.
