Eastern Alliance

The Eastern Alliance is an amalgamation of 13 municipalities from the eastern district of Erding (Upper Bavaria) and the western district of Mühldorf . In 1997 they formed an alliance with a view to the changes brought about by Munich Airport .

The website says: “The aim of the alliance is to represent interests together and to promote inter-municipal cooperation. The affected area covers an area of ​​500 km² with 50,000 inhabitants in 1000 districts in the following communities: Bockhorn , Buchbach , Dorfen , Fraunberg , Hohenpolding , Inning am Holz , Isen , Kirchberg , Lengdorf , Sankt Wolfgang , Schwindegg , Steinkirchen and Taufkirchen (Vils) .
