Neunkirchen is a district of the municipality of Nohfelden in Saarland . Until the end of 1973 Neunkirchen was an independent municipality.
The hamlets "Elzenberger Mühle" and "Nohmühle" also belong to Neunkirchen. Earlier names of the Elzenberger Mühle were Elsenbergermühle and Amtsschultheißenmühle. The Nohmühle was formerly also known as the Amtshausermühle.
history
From 1817 to 1937 Neunkirchen belonged to the Oldenburg principality of Birkenfeld .
On January 1, 1974, the Neunkirchen / Nahe community was incorporated into the Nohfelden community.
politics
The local council has nine members, six of them from the CDU , two from the SPD and one from the UBNN . Mayor: Erwin Barz (CDU).
Culture and sights
Neunkirchen is located near the Bostalsee and offers a small leisure park with mini golf , bumper cars and a lookout tower .
Infrastructure
There is a retirement home , a grocery store , a general practitioner , a dentist , a pharmacy and a hotel .
Neunkirchen is approached by RSW and ORN buses .
Personalities
The pop singer Nicole lives in Neunkirchen and is also an honorary citizen of the Nohfelden community.
