The Tower Hill Cottages is an Outbound medieval motte (moth) on the peninsula of Haidenaab behind the St. Lawrence Church of huts , in the municipality of Grafenwoehr in Upper Palatinate Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria . No historical or archaeological information is known about this Niederungsburg , it is roughly dated as medieval.
The peninsula is protected on three sides by the river and the moth was sealed off from the bank by a ditch. The square tower hill was 3 m high, but was leveled in by the owner Schlör in the 20th century. During the construction of a drainage system , medieval ceramics, iron tools, weapons and many stakes were found that remained in the property of the landowner. A few years ago it was suggested that the area around Neustadt an der Waldnaab with the former hill towers should be archaeologically, geologically and historically developed.
