The parish village of Beerbach was a patronage community of the Welser von Neunhof and zu Beerbach family and is a district of the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz .

history

Beerbach was first mentioned in 1109. It was the seat of a family of imperial ministries , to which the defunct Tower Hill Castle Beerbach can also be assigned. The first branch church was built around 1300. In the late Middle Ages, more and more Nuremberg citizens were landlords . Beerbach has had its own parish since 1520. At the time of the Counter Reformation around 1628, the parish of Beerbach became a refuge for Reformed and Lutherans. Until 1806 the places were part of the Neunhof territory. Since 1806 Beerbach and Tauchersreuth formed one community. As part of the regional reform , they were added to the Erlangen district in 1972 (from May 1, 1973, Erlangen-Höchstadt district ) and, after considerable protests by the population, incorporated into the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz on July 1, 1976.

Parish

Nine villages have belonged to the Beerbach parish since 1858, five of which are in the area of the city of Lauf ad Pegnitz in the district of Nürnberger Land, two belong to the market town of Heroldsberg in the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt. The two main churches are St. Egidien in Beerbach and St. Johannis in Neunhof.
