The wasteland of Gaisreuth is one of 29 districts in the town of Lauf an der Pegnitz in Middle Franconia .
history
The wasteland of Gaisreuth and the village of Simmelberg once belonged to Oedenberg , the former seat of a family of service men on the soil of the German Empire. The first mention goes back to the year 1287. Gaisreuth and Oedenberg were occupied by Prussia in 1796 and Bavarian in 1810. In 1843 Oedenberg came to Lauf from the Erlangen district and was incorporated into the town of Lauf an der Pegnitz on July 1, 1971.
