Voglhof is one of 29 officially named districts of the Middle Franconian town of Lauf an der Pegnitz .

geography

The village, which is largely surrounded by forest, is located about two and a half kilometers north-northwest of the center of Lauf and is at an altitude of 341  m above sea level. NHN . To the south of the village, the Teufelsgraben and Ochsenpriel unite to form the Bitterbach .

history

The place name probably goes back to the farm of a settler Vogel. The four hamlets Veldershof , Kuhnhof , Seiboldshof and Vogelhof emerged from individual farms and, after 1806, formed the independent rural community of Veldershof with a relatively large corridor marking . On June 1, 1927, this community, which then had fewer than 100 inhabitants, joined the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz.

traffic

The state road St 2240 runs through the village coming from the south of Rudolfshof and continues in a north-easterly direction to Neunhof . Access to the Federal Motorway 9 is possible at the Lauf junction about four kilometers to the south-southeast.
