José Guadalupe Torres Campos

José Guadalupe Torres Campos (born January 19, 1960 in León de los Aldama ) is Bishop of Ciudad Juárez .

Life

José Guadalupe Torres Campos was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of León on July 2, 1984 . He was incardinated on January 3, 2004 in the clergy of the diocese of Irapuato , which was established on the same date .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 10, 2005 titular bishop of Quiza and auxiliary bishop in Ciudad Juárez . The bishop of Ciudad Juárez, Renato Ascencio León , gave him episcopal consecration on February 22nd of the following year; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Bertello , Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , and José de Jesús Martínez Zepeda , Bishop of Irapuato.

On November 25, 2008 he was appointed the first bishop of the diocese of Gómez Palacio , which was established on the same date , and was appointed to the office on February 17 of the following year.

On December 20, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Juarez. The inauguration took place on February 20 of the following year.
