Renato Ascencio León

Renato Ascencio León (born May 11, 1939 in León , Mexico ) is Bishop Emeritus of Ciudad Juárez .

Life

Renato Ascencio León received on 12 June 1965, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

July 19, 1988 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the prelates of Madera . The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Girolamo Prigione , donated him episcopal ordination on August 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of León , Anselmo Zarza Bernal , and the Bishop of Mexicali , José Ulises Macías Salcedo . On October 7, 1994, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Juarez .

On December 20, 2014, Pope Francis accepted the resignation from Renato Ascencio León for reasons of age.
